Roadside Worker Safety Training
- The BC Municipal Safety Association offers a 4-hour Traffic Control Planning and Layout course for workers and supervisors in public works, maintenance, engineering, and special events. The course is open to workers and supervisors outside of the municipal sector as space permits.
- The BC Municipal Safety Association also offers a 6-hour Emergency Scene Traffic Control course for all emergency responders – fire, ambulance, and police personnel. A related one-day Train-the-Trainer course is also offered.
- The BC Construction Safety Association (BCCSA) offers a two-day standardized course for Traffic Control Persons (TCPs) and is the only program of its kind accepted by WorkSafeBC under Section 18 of the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation for high-risk traffic control. This two-day training session has been designed to qualify those who work as high-risk TCPs throughout the province of BC.
