The “Cone Zone” campaign is the winner of the 2013 Canadian Public Relations Society’s National Award of Excellence – Canadian Advocacy and Social Marketing Campaign of the Year award.
Supported by the Work Zone Safety Alliance and WorkSafeBC, the “Cone Zone” campaign is a public awareness campaign designed to inform drivers about the dangers faced by roadside workers and encourage safe driving practices.
A true testament to partnerships and the ability to work together to make a difference, the Work Zone Safety Alliance, which represents twenty-two stakeholders across the province and WorkSafeBC, has been able to get the message out to the public about driving safely and making work zones safer for everyone.
Honoured for the use of the “Cone Zone” campaign as a strong communication tool, the Alliance has worked diligently to improve the safety, and ultimately save lives of roadside workers across B.C.
