Road Safety at Work attended Truxpo – Western Canada’s largest commercial trucking show – at the Abbotsford Tradex Centre on May 13th and 14th. Close to 9,000 visitors enjoyed exhibits showcasing the latest in commercial trucking equipment, technology and services. One of the highlights was the speakers’ series presented by SafetyDriven and dealing with standards of care, fatigue management and healthier truckers. There was also a show & shine organized by Pro-Trucker Magazine, a Family Zone with games and face painting plus musical entertainment. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth to discuss road safety.
Congratulations to Susan Wijngaarden who stopped by our booth to spin the prize wheel and enter our draw for a vehicle safety kit with one year of roadside assistance. Susan is pleased to outfit her vehicle (a.k.a. “Mom’s Taxi”) with her new kit and will be signing up for her complimentary roadside assistance once her BCAA membership expires. Susan has many friends and family that regularly travel on BC roadways. Susan commented she will be sharing her new road safety knowledge with those friends, and do her part to help keep them safer when they are on the road.
