Road safety is a team effort for our latest winner

Congratulations to Deb Raincock, Senior Project Coordinator with Team Construction Management Ltd. Deb won a vehicle safety kit with one year of roadside assistance during the Southern Interior Construction Association Conference in Kelowna on February 28.

A full-service construction firm in the Okanagan, Team Construction is made up of a highly experienced team that includes a dedicated Safety Officer, Project Coordinators, Red Seal Carpenters and Gold Seal Certified Project Managers and Site Superintendents. Each year they complete more than 50,000 hours on building projects – which equates to a lot of time on the road.

Team Construction is very proud to maintain one of the lowest incident rates and lost-time frequency rates in the industry. They recognize this is not a matter of coincidence, but rather a result of hard work and dedication to safety. Team initiates annual safety audits to ensure industry safety standards are met and exceeded. They also use technology and industry experts to help staff correct unsafe behaviours, as well as to avoid and eliminate hazards and dangerous conditions on site.

As part of their ongoing commitment to safety, Team Construction has invited all safety and supervisory staff to attend Road Safety at Work’s complimentary webinar (People Aren’t Pylons: Preventing collisions at work sites), which will be broadcast live on April 1st (11:00 am – 12:00 pm).

Deb has also circulated Road Safety at Work’s list of recommended vehicle safety kit contents to all staff.

Thanks for helping to keep your Team safe, Deb!
